Project Development Objective

The Project Development Objective (PDO) is to strengthen urban services and infrastructure in the Nairobi Metropolitan Region by improving key public services which include: spatial planning and public infrastructure in the areas surrounding Railways stations, roads, construction of modern markets, street and security lighting, disaster and emergency preparedness, sanitation services and solid waste management. This will be achieved by investing in 13 urban areas within the metropolitan region.

NaMSIP is clustered into four components:
• Institutional Reform and Planning
• Local basic Infrastructure and Services
• Large Infrastructure
• Monitoring and Evaluation.

NaMSIP has implemented over 120 sub-projects within the five metropolitan counties.
